A driverless car is a vehicle equipped with an autopilot system that is capable of driving from one point to another without guidance by a human operator. Relieving vehicle occupants from driving and navigating chores, so allowing them to concentrate on other tasks or to rest during their jouney. The systems currently under development work by simulating human perception and decision-making during steering of a car via advanced computer software linked to a range of sensors such as cameras, radar and GPS. They hope to be using this technology by 2018
